Dear Bully, You’re Not a Threat

As I stared down your eyes
I see your inner person being controlled
By your own insecurities and raw emotions
Like poison seeping through your veins
This negative influence makes you very desperate and weak as a person
Causing you to crave for domination, better self-esteem or even for empathy

So when you’re ready to lash out for attention, you pick a target or targets that seem fit as different and vulnerable.
I already know you’re armed with bullets filled with cruel words, laced with venom.
Your bullets of words try to dig deep into my skin to snare me like prey
Trying to keep my back pinned against a wall
And as you watch me for a cringe or any fearful reaction

I don’t allow your words or actions to entangle in a cocoon of fear
Or weigh me down like chains
Because of my strong determination and the love from important people in my life
I’m above your psychology games

So dear bully, you’re not a threat and never will be.
