I've been screaming for years but you still don't seem to hear me.
I've been waving my hands begging you to pull me to shore but you are looking the other way.
I've been jumping and shouting SOS but you leave me there to sink- everytime.

There must be a way to get your attention!
But no- you've gone deaf and blind.

Just in time you managed to run away
Something I could never do.

I don't know how else to possibly get your attention
My mouth is bleeding all of the words you ignore
And my muscles are torn dancing for your attention

I've always known I was meant to be quiet and small
But I thought you at least would notice me

Notice the pain and the suffering I endure when you're not around
Or maybe even when you are

I don't know how many more poems I can write to get you to understand
My hands are bleeding. My body is shaking.

Please. I need your help.
I'm begging and crying.
But no- you've gone deaf and blind.
