The Day You Died

Sun, 11/10/2019 - 11:28 -- hnester

A happy-go-lucky guy
never afraid to say hi.
A friend to anyone in need
a kind-hearted soul indeed.
When did things turn bad?
what made you so sad?
For a young man like you
at only twenty-two
to commit suicide
how did you manage to hide
all the sadness and pain
did you fell like there was nothing left to gain?
you left us without a warning
and I'll forever be mourning
the sound of that gun
can never be undone
the smell of the blood
the tears came like a flood
i should have noticed
that your mind wasn't focused
i could have done more
but now my soul is tore
i never got to say good-bye
and now with the angels you fly!
