The Day After

Location

Dark oils paint a weakened body

Sprawled out on a messy bed.

Depression covered with alcohol

Feeling there is no end.

Two glasseses and two bottles standing

only one remains half-full.

Her body drowned in booze

As she wishes there was more,

Loss of hope for herself.

In her despair

Alcohol is what she reaches for

When her heart becomes poor.

She lives a life always sad,

Only if she broke this addiction

The abscence of hope wouldn't linger.

Yet, she lies in bed

Feeling nothing in her head.
