A Daughter's Struggle

You never had a father so I can't blame you.

You never had a role model to look up to.

But you saw my momma give me lfe,

looked me in my eyes and called it love at first sight.

You said I was the only thing you'd ever need.

You were supposed  to be the only man I called daddy,

so why did you leave?

Why did you hurt me?

Why did you make me feel worthless?

I guess what you pushed through your veins was more important.

Everything I did was for your encouragement, then it started to feel empty.

All these strangers knew about my pain,

so I forgd forward bypassing their sympathy.

The sins of the father, they really impact me.

Having a hard life due to your actions towards the women who came before me, she.

She is going to be something special, she is going to be a handful, she is depressed,

she is a mess. she is trying so hard to break the cycle.

This is a daughter's struggle.
