Darkness 2

Darkness

Ecclesiastes 2:14

14 The wise man can see where he is going, but the fool walks in darkness.
Yet I also realized that the same fate happens to them both.

The black-side of darkness … the edges well-known

I know we've all been there … in spirit forlorn.

Few will admit it … and some just see gray

as they fool themselves dearly every day.

Most men are clairvoyant as in darkness they move.

Things appear bright to self as their mind is aloof.

Advice is unknown to them for they know who they are

and where they reside now … appears to them afar.

Where they are going in their confused state

appearing to self always … as having a clean slate?

Mire appears cream to them as they wallow in that.

They’re on the brink of madness and that is so sad.

They know they are the answer in their spiritual view.

Their condition smells stale … as death takes its due.

Is it too late to grasp now … in despair and pain

the hand that is reaching for them … again and again?

Gone is their vision … they are blind as bats,

but bats go by intuition at times that are set.

So it is never too late for the blind in despair

for in the power of Jesus … salvation is there.

He'll shine in the darkness … a light that so bright.

energized by love … compassion and might.

Darkness will flee at a speed yet unknown

when Jesus saves you to call you His own.
