Of The Darkest Night

Mon, 12/11/2017 - 23:55 -- Setua

Tavern mugs and boisterous laughter,
Another line in this wondrous chapter,
Long after the sun has set,
Quills still write, and candles stay lit.
Yet one thing lay forgotten,
Someone who feels as though they've been trodden,
A wife that has been left to weep,
A promise he just couldn't keep,
Left to rot or maybe worse,
She couldn't bear this lonely curse,
Taut is the rope that winds around her throat,
Leaving this world with one final note.
