Dark Shades

Tue, 04/07/2020 - 14:03 -- heisrus

How did you manage to get this way?

Sorrow only fills you from within

Your dark shades hides your tears

From the things that scared you deep

Now you live for the darkness, you live for the cold

You live for the violence that doesn’t bother you at all

But I can’t live like this, I can’t live like you

Winter doesn’t captivate my soul as much as yours does

No one can fix you or your mind

The drugs you get high on are your only love

Heroin and yayo get you through the day

In the little motel you reside in

Those dark shades of yours, I see my reflection

Is that how you see this world?

Cruelest and bluest of them all

And as you lay your head tonight

You only dream in black and white

This poem is about:
Our world
