The darkness

it swells up like a wave

getting taller every second

it looms ominously over my head

and then

suddenly

it crashes down and engulfs me

making everything

dark

I'm swimming

blinded by the blackness

but i cannot reach the surface

I'm drowning

though I can see the faces of those I know

floating towards the surface

and it's heartbreaking

because I don't know who

I am
