The Dance

The lights were dim and we were together.

The DJ spun another record and under the faint illumination of the chandeliers we swayed.

You spun me and I felt like royalty.

When you pulled me back you held me close to you and it was as if we were one.

We continued to swing across the dance floor rhythmically.

As you dipped me close to the floor of the ballroom I looked up and the chandelier's lights reminded me of the stars outside.

The song came to an end and so did the night.

We left the ballroom and we stood under the stars.

As we were gazing at the night sky you turned my attention back to you and we kissed under the moonlight.

In that moment it was as if we were the only ones in the world, you made me feel unlimited, you made me feel as if together we could do anything.
