To Dance

Limbs flailing

Falling

Reaching

Hitting

Screaching

Smacked against a cold hard floor

The purest center

The hardest core

A crystal floor unscathed by the shoes of others

No one sees

No one hears

No one knows

The little girl dances

Not gracefully

Not beautifully

But she dances

She fears if she stops she will fall through the floor

Into oblivion

Into darkness

So she dances, and dances

And she doesn't stop

She dreams of the day she will sprout wings and fly

But that day has not come

And she dares not stop

And she dares not jump

And she dares not leap

For fear she will fall

And be swallowed by the darkened crowd

Of generics

And averages

Of mediocres

And the normal

So she dances

And she dances

'Til the end

Great Poem! Though the ending line "'Til the end," is very abrupt or off.

_In my opinion_

What about something like "Doesn't dare to stop"

(Please don't get offended)
