He's the one that wakes me up
And gives me a reason to leave the hut
He keeps me walkin down the street
As if these were his feet

And when I get to work
He already planned it out
So I don't need to worry
About the next story

He's the one that protects me
Even when the others neglect me
He gives me new strength
And helps me find friends

And if I'm stuck
I'll call on him
And he'll lift me up
To the top

He'll help me see
What I need to do
I won't just let it be
But follow it through

The result is overwhelming
It's steady and unchanging
Better than I could do
Every day anew

And when I go on the road
I don't need to fear
For my god is here
Ready to steer

When I'm home
All exhausted and tired
I'll open his book
For one last look

And before I close my eyes
I recognize
This was his great  plan
From before the world began

I'll do the best of what I got
Give it all to him
For his plans are greater than mine
And I want to let them shine
