But Daddy

You may be far away,

but I remember the day.

Counting cars from the window,

looking at your shadow.

You told me not to be,

like you;

But Daddy

I am strong,

I get mad,

I have a temper,

Oh, Daddy I am you.

Your living legacy,

Your living breath.

I am you in every way.
