Why? What can you say to justify the gory ground that I stand upon

Glory? Ha! An infant's dream that died in me long ago

Slipping on the ground turned to mud from the blood of friend and enemy as I march

I ask you to tell me have you seen the horrors of war that you,

You! In your arrogance and pride has brought upon my head?

Mine and his.

He that lies dead in the pit praying for a respite from this madness

He and his new comrades in the army of the dead

An army that now outnumbers your own!

Tell me, you makers of men to beast!

What words did you send to comfort their family?

When you know that the true tragedy lies with those who will survive!

A hundred thousand curses upon your head!

And another from every man who is now dead.
