Crucified with ...

2:20 New English Translation (NET Bible)

20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

“The Lord for the body ... the body for the Lord”

United in Christ through faith as we are crucified with Christ.

Our sins were nailed to the Cross so we’ll be cleansed within.

And: “Death where is your sting?” became a glorious thought

as we were resurrected with Jesus and ascended to Heaven with Him.

The Holy Spirit now dwells within that is why the Lord is for the body.

Not only spirit and soul matter but also the behavior of the whole man.

He delivers what He promised and He stated with assurance: that

“He Who starts a good work in you” will finish it and we know He can.

1 Corinthians 6:14 New English Translation (NET Bible)

14 Now God indeed raised the Lord and he will raise us by his power.

A foretaste of that resurrection is what we have now.

Our reunion with Christ in God’s eyes is all-sufficient.

Our will, mind, and emotions are intertwined with Him

He gave His Life for us to make us clean and proficient.

Our spirits united with Christ in the completeness of a union

He takes my infirmities and moves them out of the way.

My psychological defects, my sickness, and weakness

Christ took upon Himself and does that day by day.

Christ is for our body so we draw comfort, strength, and life

from His Person directly in our spiritual union with Him.

By faith, we trust that He’ll quench our thirst and longings

He is the fountain of “my” life where righteousness is firm.
