Crimson everywhere...

The words fly at me
Burning my skin
My head spinning
failure, disgrace is all I hear
when do you ever do good?
As we ride home I silently let a few tears fall
Then at once my mask is back
Once alone again thoughts evade my mind
Soon I feel like I’m in a puddle
I quickly pull my face back on.
No one can help me today
For the first time in years
I actually look to where my sharp, gleaming escape lies
Tonight I’ll break I think, the crimson river will flow
No no I can’t, what will my guardian angel think
To put him in pain I cannot do
So once again I shirk away
And pull my mask back on where it shall always be.
