From the crib to the grave

Leviticus 19:32

32 “Stand up in the presence of the elderly, and show respect for the aged.

Fear your God. I am the Lord.

Security

As a child shelter under the wings in their parent’s family nest.

Security is a forgotten thing that is ignored ... but very blest.

Kids leave home and go their way and security travels where they go.

When things go wrong call Pa and Ma who always help ... this I know.

It does not matter what kids do the helping hand reaches far and wide.

Time and space seem to disappear when Love and need ... embrace inside.

How to earn good grades in the course of life and not to flunk along the way?

Who grades our work and defines the test? Who in the end ... will have to pay?

And at the end up to what degree did I succeed in the school of life?

I know it was not a course by choice but one given to all ... through strife.

In nursing homes the degreed exist with a wealth about life’s ways.

Ignored by most, who know it all, with degrees ... and no heart to pay.
