Creator of Waterfalls

Creator of Waterfalls

I look up slowly to capture in my vision

the full splendor of the

Bright and powerful cascade.

The wet rocks glimmer like stars

in the night,

But the colors around prove the sunshine:

New green leaves, well-watered,

and a clear blue sky.

I watch a single white wave

as it tumbles and swoops

and crashes on the rocks below.

A whisper of glory.

Creator of waterfalls,

How can You love me?

When I don't stop to listen,

When I plead for my way?

When in the cold, rainy days

I doubt Your design,

Though it is with the storms that

You fill the cascade.

The sun smiles warmly on my back,

The breeze plays with my hair, and

I feel the spray on my skin,

Inviting me to join its chorus of praise.

You love me enough to create the waterfalls.
