Crash

Buckle up we are going on a road trip,
Hold up let me text my mother real quick.
Okay let me pull out of the driveway,
I wonder what’s happening on Instagram today.
Both directions is the only safe way to look,
Damn I think I got a message on Facebook.
There goes the reminder on my calendar,
Shit that’s right I had to make something for her.

Oh fuck!
I didn’t see him walking there,
Now I see a grown man flying through the air.
It’s my fault I only looked down for second,
But thank god he’s still alive,
What a blessing.

Looking down I see the seat is covered in blood,
What have I done?
My emotions pour out in a flood.
I’m dying at the hands of my recklessness,
Please heed my warning,
I hope you remember this.
