Councilor

Fri, 03/07/2014 - 21:21 -- Eleetah

Foster kids are put down

No matter their background

We can be successful too

Maybe our ideas are new

Maybe we can change it all

But you just want to watch us fall

You push and push until we break

You think that you can make us quake

I will not quit, I will not fail

I will not lose, I won't turn tail

I will help others find their way

No matter the night or day

A councilor to help and mend

To aid success and change the bend

The curve of failure will not prevail

We all will push and never fail

I can help, I know their pain

Our will may never wane

As the road goes on and on

Our triumphs will never be gone

I can help them to succeed

Guidance is all they really need

Councilors are a great asset

The greatest I have ever met

Underappreciated they are strong

Their faith in us cannot be wrong

I hope that soon I'll be one of them

To aid them and never condemn

A future where all can find their way

Where happiness wil always stay
