Cost of Strength

Thu, 10/25/2018 - 16:18 -- Carolle

Shelter, protected not empty

Views narrowed on the small walls and closed door

Not locked

Being in the familiar a cozy feeling

Nudge, nudge

Thrown

out of the little bubble I’ve known

Out of the safety called home

Sudden, shocking, scary

this wide open sea

suffocating

engulfing

fading

There is nothing more destructive

than being shoved

into that corner

with fear possessing the cells

of your body

clogging your thinking

Yet

there is nothing more powerful

than the act of being thrown

into the corner

by the one you trust

Love

For they know what you do not know

that you can lift more

than what you think you can

That there are ‘super powers’ waiting to be unlocked

That learning and improving can be

Painful

Love stands there

while you are screaming

while your heart is bleeding sorrow thinking

betrayal

Love holds the pain of being misunderstood

knowing

that you will walk out victorious

It holds your heart in their heart

your sorrows are their sorrows

Love guides and strengthens

My God you are Love
