Cookie Cutter

Location

Round perfect edges

That is what they all want

Smile when you should

Laugh on queue

Hair done just right

Not a stray in sight

Small waist

Round curves

All they desire

My hair is frayed

My laugh is loud

Hands to small

Feet too big

Just too tall

But to me,

The view is better up here

I let my hair down in the wind

I laugh because I am free

My hands are good for hugging

My feet are good for running

Because I can never stop

Even when words pierce like knives

I keep my head up

Spread my arms

Let my hair fly free

And run for all to see

Because I am no cookie cutter

So don’t try to cage me!
