A metaphor but something more

I press record to the lies that you told me from before

Go back in time I hit rewind to figure out the truth that you were never mine

I was yours faithfully, wrapped into your every word

As my high suddenly got lower, I pressed fast forward to where we stand.

Love wandered from us. Disappeared in all the lies. I realized that you weren't my guy.

Love is certainly a crazy game, it's funny how i still don't know how to press play.
