Contentment and Godliness

Contentment and Godliness

Luke 1: 46-47. Mary: “My soul magnifies The Lord

and my spirit has rejoiced in my Savior”

A girl smiling through the years filled with contentment

Her fill of godliness and trust … as in silence now I wonder

What is wrong with us? Examples of an uncertain of a past,

Who are mostly dressed in defeat for reasons, we can’t ponder

Values placed are mostly wrong. Priorities are often scrambled.

Driven by the material and even the thought of loss of it brings fear

No matter what we do … we don’t want to change but slowly

The way of life we’ve chosen at the expense of many tears

The soul that magnifies … that is where the power resides.

To discern and decide … to honor whom it wants too

Is it a choice deliberate … or a longing from the heart?

That makes me magnify The Lord in thought and deed for sure?

My spirit, who rejoices, can only do so spiritually

Only to be understood by the Heavenly Host

Only in appreciation for what God has provided

No human can understand or proclaim a selfish boast

Mary, you carried Jesus the Son of God deep within you

A foreboding of all things … when God came to set me free

The day that He redeemed me and saved me into the forever

That’s the day He entered … the temple He formed within me
