Psalm 16:5 New Living Translation (NLT)

Lord, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing.
You guard all that is mine.

To be assigned your portion's cup

and to be happy with what you've got.

To count your blessings while rounding up

and to accept life fully … as given by God.

Satisfaction guaranteed

and underwritten by the Lord.

He'll provide your every need

with problems so you won't get bored.

It is not good … a life of ease

an idle mind … as there confusion starts.

It is the quickest way to increase

wrong perceptions in your heart.

So when your cup flows over and

it pours out wisdom's fruits.

Let the time you have be fully mend

the truth and honor … for the good.

For the good of all and not self-embrace

For the hope of them … who depend on you.

Otherwise your life winds up a hopeless case

and your end will be … without a clue.
