Consumption

The swaying of the trees
Puts me at ease
In the midst of anger

The strong wind against my face
Brings me to reality
Realities of the world

In peace is sorrow
and in sorrow is resentment
I follow my own grass path
Ignoring paths put out to skew me

Little water to quench my thirst
Taken away by greed
I am surrounded by earth
But where is it?
Destroyed for profit
Destroyed by technology

How can we be one
when destruction consumes us?
