Consistantly by my Side

Worn and torn, you have been through all,
Happily by my side since I was small.

Intricately woven and embroidered by hands that did care.

To me you were the perfect gift.

Endowing your comfort for secrets I shared.
Endless holding, cuddling and love I gave in return.
Laughter and tears while I was made to learn.
Entering adulthood, I keep you close by.

Travel buddy and all, your comfort was desired.

People make fun of you; I thought it unfair.
Happily I went about in my grown-up years,
Aware you were right there when I was in tears.
Now grown up, and I still think of you,
Tucked away in a chest, my beautiful pink blankey so true.
