Confused

Hebrews 12:4

4 After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin.

Lover’s quarrel that is a first ... where did that come from?

Is it me or is it you ... who defined some wrong?

We’ll work it out; you will see ... there always is tomorrow

and it is a fact indeed ... that we all belong.

Author of Love, foundational ... He resides somewhere.

Smilingly presenting Grace ... in showers from above

It rains on everyone, you know ... the just and the unjust

for that is what Grace is all about ... a never-ending love.

Open your mouth and drink the drops ... let it cool your face.

Don’t run for an umbrella ... as it splashes down on you.

Take it in fullness ... to share with the human race.

It is free to offer ... as it channels right through you.

A never-ending stream ... why do we dam it up?

Why do we want to keep for self ... what is for everyone?

Is it our own nature  ... that we polish every day,

to make it appear what it ain’t until it’s burned well-done?

A never-ending struggle ... it is supposed to be.

But most of us don’t struggle ... we compromise away.

The values first bestowed as “love one another”

or “love your neighbor as yourself” each and every day.

A three thousand dollar suit ... a ten thousand dollar watch

living in a palace while ... talking about meek and humble.

Possessions don’t mean anything ... and to have a personal jet

is just for the ministry ... as in life one falls and fumbles ...
