Conformity

Day by day,

The colors fade.

Morphed identities,

Torn hearts,

And bleeding smiles.

All hidden under a translucent facade.

Is it blindness

Or is it ignorance?

They are oblivious to

The destruction within.

Others have eyes,

But they fail to speak,

And simply watch in silence,

As another character dies.

Unique qualities diminished.

Only to become another commoner

Living under the norms imposed by others.
