Conformity

Everyone's so concerned about appearances.

Why? I just don't understand

Because every little thing you do to look cooler or prettier

Makes you less you

With me, I don't care about appearances.

I am who am and proud to be

I may be crazy and loud and sometimes selfish

But I am me and I am ok with it

The only thing I hide behind a curtain

Is my window, literally

Showing your true self is much more courageous and bold than conforming to the sameness of the society

Don't become a clone

That's hiding yourself behind a curtain

A curtain of fake, of lies and of fear

Don't be different to be the same

Be the same to be different

I am the same me I always have been and always hope to be

The same me, and different than everybody else

That's how I show my true self
