Confession

Self-Purification

7 Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that could defile the body and the spirit, and thus accomplish holiness out of reverence for God.

Is defiling of the spirit that fleshly wall we built

To protect the innocence that Christ’s Blood provides

The flesh knows no difference, not even what we call guilt

It moves on its desires and only in self confides

“Perfecting Holiness,” a great concept, reference before a Holy God

Only through Christ is that completely and is accomplished without fear

For to understand the Holy and true Justice on this earthly plot

Is that God is faithful to forgive, and His cleansing is always near

1 John 1:9      New English Translation

9 But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, forgiving us our sins and cleansing us from all unrighteousness.

In confession lays the answer, and in repentance, the Living Proof

For just ‘sin” is not the whole problem. It’s who we are and not all we do

We cannot look upon God, our Savior, as we cannot handle Holiness by self

As we disintegrate in His Presence unless Chris, Himself, molds us  very well
