Psalm 143:5 New English Translation (NET Bible)

I recall the old days;
I meditate on all You have done;
I reflect on Your accomplishments.

What do I want to hear? What are my expectations?

Where does it all fit in as I travel into vagueness?

Changes are here, pressing now toward frustration.

Is enough faith within to lead us through the darkness?

Time to meditate, replacing dreams of yesterday

Like a threatening flood, destiny seems clear

Should we now congregate as temporal fleets away?

Is it for our good when our last breath is near?

No surprises come our way, but things catch us off-guard

The "only" thing sustaining us is the stability of Salvation

We don't know what to say as our prayers fall apart

From the contained selfishness that  hampers meditation
