Concrete Girl

Location

I needed you like I needed poetry..

I wanted to take you in and embrace you like warm summertime air. I wanted your kiss to be the sweetest melody in my imagination..

I was infatuated with smoke filled poetry clubs that took form in you. I was high above the ground; they say the ride down's the worst.

So I, take what little I have and make oil paintings out of nostalgia. I decorate the ceilings with the butterflies you used to give me.

I loved you, and I loved you, and I loved you...I loved you in hopes one day you'd learn to love you.

In the midst of our conversations and 2 am "I need you's", I found myself. I bid farewell to the girl that changed my life atop of concrete vines.
