I know I can be nonsensical and have a one-track mind,

But please forgive me and leave it all behind.

Words disappear, and I feel like I am hitting a wall,

Though, all I want is your warm embrace or a simple call.

Obstacles are in our way that keeps us apart,

But your name is always on mind and forever in my heart.

There are times when things aren't right and they bring you down;

Just know that it's as hard on me to watch and feel your frown.

At times, we know that an action speaks louder than a word,

Even that restraining stillness when only breathes can be heard.

Your silence is a weapon that screams at me from afar,

And know that every time it strikes it leaves a tiny scar.

With guards erected I cannot be sure of how you feel,

But your truth will lead me to what is real.

Openness is the verbal honest key,

That will guide us both into the greatest sea.

Our depths will be unknown to all those around,

The words you whisper so pure and secretly sound.

Those few words that I say too much

Are constantly on my mind and are such:
