Common-senseless

1 Corinthians 1:27

27 But God chose what the world thinks foolish to shame the wise,

and God chose what the world thinks weak to shame the strong.

Common-senseless

Where did the sense go that we call “common”?

Who carried it off in a small paper sack?

It could be anyone since I did not have much

To haul that little bit disguised with some flack

Did it disappear in a casket to be buried somewhere

Or was it thrown in the air to be carried by the wind

To land on the roofs of universities here and anywhere

To be later washed away in the letters now in print

Here we change the meaning by adding the prefix “none”

To be carved into hearts of anyone who wants to know

Is it any wonder that the difference between pro and con

Is the intelligent interpretation confusing about every soul

Leaning on one’s own understanding having a ball

Creation’s theory kicked out of the double doors

Evolution is a fact in most their hearts after all

Till the Day of Judgment will hit them in the core
