Coming of Age

And there I was
In your bed
Thinking about being young
And what I would’ve said.

It isn’t simple.
I get terrified,
Then stormless
And undressed.
Covered by your sheets,
Warm from your heat.
In your bed.
And I think about that little girl
And what she would’ve said.
