Far from home they fight,

In a land that’s not their own.

Their enemy has no face,

Yet they fight on.

In a time of terror

Not knowing who is friend or who is foe,

Not knowing where the next strike comes.

They fight a war that will not end.

Most news  sent home is grave,

The death of loved one, or serious injury.

Now comes the cry of protest,

Come home, let’s end this hopeless war!

The enemy will never stop for they don’t care about their own!

The war is over they have won.

We live in terror now, that was their goal.

They are simply bullies,

As long as we’re bothered they won’t stop.

If we show no fear they will subside.

They may not stop, but if we keep on,

We will die.

So come home soldiers, the way to defend your home is not to fight and die.

It is to live without fear,

 So says I!
