We all deserve a chance right?
To fight with all our might for what we believe is right
Why should we let people tell us who we are?
They act like we're inferior and say we won't go far
But they're intimidated by the strength they see inside
It makes them act superior but they really want to hide

I'm not sure why people feel they need to put others down
They make fun of your features and your color and your sound
White is right, they say, with all their money and their praise
Black is dirty and uncivilized is also what they say

But one magical day in history made things completely change
The rules of society became rearranged
This country got the civil rights that makes things fair
We have freedom and limits that we all share

Black and white can live together with all their flaws
We won't have to worry about people having extra laws
Peace and community is what we have to strive for
All colors of the world should be able to soar
