Colors two

The Lord speaking:

Genesis 9:13

13 I will place my rainbow in the clouds, and it will become

a guarantee of the covenant between Me and the earth.

Colors

Conception of the heart

is it a hunger of desire?

And my desire cannot conceive

anything it does not know.

Is that why the heart contains

foundations of much evil

for it is the flesh at work

and no spirit will ever show?

A coat of many colors

is hard to understand.

Reminds me of my wants,

which are far beyond my needs.

Framed in by my desires

which are based on myself.

The colors stand out at times

like the color “gold” for greed.

The color “red” like fire

when I burn in lust.

The color “blue” like water

when I grieve before the Son.

The color “gray” always surrounds me

in my life of compromise

and the color “black” at the end of day

when my day is done.

The color “yellow” so uncertain

when fear slowly befalls me.

The color “brown” which intertwines

my self with all else as I wonder “why?”

The color “green” that brings me peace

for I can get lost there.

The color “white” seems so unknown

in a cloudless sky.
