Colors ... the touch of perfection

Genesis 1:31

31 God saw all that He had made—and it was very good!

There was evening, and there was morning, the sixth day.

Colors

Blue and purple … gray and gold.

What will happen … you're so old?

From the past all you've seen

many sorrows … filth and clean.

Just some colors … just some shades

made by God … as He creates.

Angels marveled … rainbows there

at the flood … as Noah cared.

Men got used to and did not notice

things God made for simple purpose.

Men can't see … purpose's call

just some colors … that is all.

Blinded by simulation

look outside an old creation.

Then look at things man has made

admiration rises … what a slate.

Dirt and filth is mostly hidden

shielded by … Oh man! Good riddens.

In our mind pre-select

what we like … what the heck.

Take that blue in the sky

feeling sad … My! Oh my!

And than purple fits a few

like in old times the well to-do.

And than gray…  a sign of knowing

does not fit old fools in growing.

And than gold it brings out greed

many a dream … at full speed.

One color so … gives no slack

the final one dressed in black.

Skin pale white … a silent word

what a sight ... peace and sword.

Many colors in the gift of flowers

the dead can't see as silence towers.

And for all folks gathered there

many tears ... wash and wear.

All eyes blue … even brown and gray

color inside ... the only way.

Colors made … for the full joy

by the heart ... the real McCoy.

When God made the bright array

For all to enjoy these every day.

Perfect gift free from above

the color "care" is made of love.

All the same colors  … of the skin

seen by God … Who looks within.

No race or space in his loving care

at the Cross … where you there?

Open my eyes Lord … that I may see

all the colors … You made for me.
