Colors

He looked at her

in beautiful colors

vibrant and passionate ones

he saw

her firey red temper

and he still found her beautiful

because it was no color of red he'd ever seen

he saw

her hot pink beating heart and love

she gave out

he found it the prettiest pink he'd ever seen

he saw

her dark deep blue sadness and hurt

she held so deep that pained her so great

and he found it to be

a beautiful darkness he loved to sit in with her

until she turned a sunny yellow

that never failed to brighten his day

and make him smile

like rays of the sun

she warmed his heart

and made him feel alive

he looked at her

in beautiful colors

he looked at her

in ways no one else did
