Color Gaurd

Your upraised so high, and I am so low

I upraise you so high, each and every day

Each night I lower you down, like a show

We complete this task, even in the gray

We never forfeit in the cold, the wet

I fold you with thirteen folds and nine stars

I protect you like you are a cadet

Each and every day I check you for scars

I tie you to the rope that ascends you

With the best, up you go to be seen

The only that may touch you, is so few

But when they upraise you, it is a scene

You are my life, and my job and my legacy

My only wish, is that you would thank me
