Color Coded

Location

The oddities and threat of color do not originate at birth,
But rather are created afterward once the mind is formed.
The little wonders do not care about the colors' worth.
Until they are prompted and led to something deformed.

Parents and peers nudge them into different directions–
With judgments and presumptions that they are ignorant.
Children care for play and not color coded expectations.
Yet, parents are making certain ideals more significant.

“Love this person, not someone like that!” Father said.
“But, daddy, what about what's on the inside?” Child speaks.
"Same sex and or different races should not be in the same bed"–
The dad says as if he's making the child happy with what they keep.

If we color code love and strip children of loving innocence,
Then we are setting up more deformities to be in existence.
