Coincidence

We meet by happenstance, fate

And I cannot imagine different

The way we both create

Led to our genesis

To each their own stumbling path

Set out for us by our own choosing

But stronger will be our aftermath

Fortified by mutual agency

Constant shifts are commonplace

With streaks of sunlight in your hair

You can go anyplace

And I will follow, watching the evolution

Your hands stained by the color you shape

And mine with the words I coalesce

From monotony we escape

Unity in numbers and numbers through art

Slow growth from self-indecision

I build you and you push me

The hereafter is a better vision

Appearing out of chance

Forced into each separate life

I am glad to have heard you here

Past and future will see strife

But this moment is ours

Me
