Closure

Staring out at the city lights
I was wasting time, wasting time
Photographing the pieces, I reached new heights
Realizing the old colors never seemed to rhyme

It should've been easier growing up with you
Why did we ever stop running? We didn't need the world
But even they saw us perfectly and you didn't have a clue

I run through the summer grass to the autumn trees
Don't you think it's time I walk right past you?
Will someone new set my heart free?

Oh send me your final music note
Closure is what I need, what I need
It's been awhile since I've looked at what I wrote
But I hope you see, all the melodies have finally found their own speed

The gusty wind carried away the memories' exposure
I know now I can finally breathe
Oh I need closure
