The sun has set on us,
though another day awaits.
All the memories made
in the sun's rays start to fade.
Pictures of old times
have been pushed to the backed
and with a heavy heart
I begin to pack.

The sun has set on us,
though the world keeps spinning.
Time forever more keeps ticking away.
I've held on for as long as I could
but no longer can I stay.
For vidid thoughts of you
used to fill me with joy,
and now they only bring pain.

The familiarity
of what we used to be
inseparable,
we were each other's everything.
Now we're nothing more than
passing faces
in a crowd.
But once, we professed
"best friends forever"
However, today, forever ended
as we stared into the sunset.
