clinging to the past

Location

tribute to my dear friend/poet maria aponte-poem inspires me to be greater

how sadly

we desperately are clinging on to the past

times and places

captured in basic colorful  photographs

time when right is right

and wrong is wrong

even at times, the right was wrong

and the wrong was right

years that passed by fast

brought modernization and liberation

free speech

free sex,

along wiith diverse of all

changing skin colors became the sign of changing times

years passed awakened and educated

let's asked

did they enlightened?

nowadays

everyone is demanding attention

at any cause

by any means necessary

the we, the us have transform to I

everything is self-center around I

the I flushes morals and values down the toilet

that was cool back then, but not now

yes right now

forgetting then is now

except the now is

ipods, ipads, iphones

play station, x-box

high priced fattening food

that mounts to sufferings of

obesity

and diabetes

empty calories that fill empty souls

bottomless pits of hunger

that feeds nothing but garbage

approved by sold out corporations

hiding behind their masks

it's good for you

it's official

this wil make you feel better

we fell for this hot garbage

sold it to our young ones

who are full of answers

without asking questions

we have so much more to offer

offer what?

for who?

we either over-analyze or over-intellectualize

been there, done that

consequences nowadays is yeah whatever

when the sun radiates us with energy that represents life

we say its about damn time

rather than thank you
