Dark sky with a strip of light

Dark night with a patch of light

Seems equivalent to my life at the moment

That little bit of light could be anything

Just depends on the day or week

The light could be dance

Could be singing

Hell, could be anything with music

Spending time with family

Or hanging with friends

Trip to the mall could be it for all I care

Enough about what it could be

Question is, Why is it so small?

Can it get bigger?

If so, when?

We all know "Life ain't no crystal stair"

And if you didn't know that, go read some Langston Hughes

The darkness surrounding are the troubles

Stress from school

People at home fighting all the time

Or issues deal with the significant other

Whatever it is, the light is a clear outlook to those troubles

May be a clear out look to life

That little piece of light is hope

Hope for a change

Hope for a new beginning

Hope in general

There are many troubles in life but that little light is hope

Troubles don't last always

In the Bible Job 11:18-19 states: "you will be secure because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor."

That little piece of light shining through the darkness is my hope

My hope for better

My clear out look

Remember troubles don't last always
