Circles come and go ...
Job 40:4
4 “Indeed, I am completely unworthy—how could I reply to You?
I put my hand over my mouth to silence myself.
Circles
Surrounded by silence … listening to your thought
Sometimes a whisper … but mostly real quiet
Even the beating of the heart … not heard at all
Life and its existence … seems now snowy white
There is no pollution … interfering in this scene
It feels that the world … has lost its power
Problems seem so far removed from where I’m at
As peace slowly curls … my heart like a flower
Moments seldom understood … and oft ignored
We have no time to waste in our search for happiness
Yes, at any cost … we’ll pay for what is free
And so in our haste … we die in only-ness
Circles come and circles go … never changing form
Through the ages trotted … by folks just like me
Always searching for the new … starting at the end
Seldom truth was spotted as such the past should be
Travel through temporal's end … before time begins
Searching in all directions for what is already possessed
Investing all our effort … in a battle we can’t win
To wind up the victims … in our self-chosen quest
The Son shines forever … the universe be gone
The final drops of temporal … splash against heart’s urn
Where is death or breath … when standing all alone
holding on to nothingness … in your flight of no return?
Who directs the traffic ... on our lonely way back home?
Who puts up the signs … that you always ignore?
Who fills up your tank … that you never seem to pay for?
Who changes your flats … when you bounce from door to door?
Why don’t you move over … and let the “Who” drive?
He will get you to the place … where you ought to be
He’ll place you on the backseat … as you act like the master
and He will simply serve with you … as He sets you free
