The Circle

Mon, 03/04/2019 - 11:54 -- ajimin1

I can’t step away from my circle,

For fear that I can lose myself again.

Round and perfect, the only thing that can comfort me.

At home, I am the oldest, the set leader

The wannabe example of the family

At school, I’m a student.

Who goes and comes quietly

Conflicts, I leave them.

Avoid them at all costs, with fear to be the hurting one.

Or hurt someone.

The circle of comfort, with no fear in life

Crystal clear in my eyes become

The circle of fear, persuading the world to remain the same

Slowly the circle becomes a triangle,

Becoming an escape route.

Whispering “Time to change for the better”

I can’t escape, I can’t leave

I have to adapt and face reality.

Time to become a new me.
